There are some "hidden function" in ob12 to be used in case of service... take a look and use them only in case of real need :-)) ---------------- Pitch Wheel calibration ---------------- Use this function if the pitch wheel doesn't work properly (i.e. the sound remain out of tune after the use or the whell doesn't reach the minimum or the maximum values) Please select "System" than select "Bulk Dump". Press F2 On the top right corner is reported the pitch bender value acquired by the A/D converter. Now move the p.b. whell and take a note of the values recognized by the a/d converter when the wheel is located at the miminum, at the center and at maximum. By using the cursor keys and the encoder input the value previously noticed in the appropriate boxes (the value that stand "above" the box is the actual stored, on the bottom is reported the new-one) The "Dead B" value is the "Dead band" (tollerance) for the center position. It's optimal value is from 4 to 6. Please do not set it to 0. Press ESC to exit without saving or WRITE to save the new values --------------- Modulation Weel calibration --------------- Use this function if the modulation wheel doesn't work properly (the whell doesn't reach the minimum or the maximum values) Select "System" than select "Bulk Dump". Press F3 The procedure is the same as the one used for the pitch wheel without the "center" and the "dead band" :-) ----------- Buttons, potentiometers and Led test ----------- A button doesn't work anymore ? A led is always off? A potentiomter gives you some strange values? The normal question is "it's a hardware or a software problem" ? :-))) Select "System" than select "Bulk Dump". Press F4 Enjoy! By pressing ESC you'll see all the leds on! Caution : hold down the esc button only for FEW SECONDS.. the power supply circuit "complains" when you switch on all the leds at the same time :-)) TO exit: Press F1-F2-F3 and F4 all togheter. The system will reboot. -------------------------- Credits -------------------------- There is also the credit list but is not a useful function :-)))). Regards F.Luzi
